Young Tamal has a skinny man pinned to the floor in a finger lock. The prince has withdrawn away from the cookie and block-strewn area in fear.
Tamal: DID HE TOUCH YOU, KAGA?
SFX: OW OW OW
Kaga: N- NO.
Kaga wipes his eyes and tries not to cry.
Tamal: DON'T CRY, YOU'RE THE PRINCE!
The captive man turns his heads towards Kaga. He has dreadlocks and purple eyes.
Man: THE PRINCE? I MUST HAVE VERY BAD LUCK.
Kaga: WHAT DO YOU MEAN?
SFX: SNF
Kaga moves forward.
Tamal: IGNORE THE PRISONER. GET THE GUARDS OUTSIDE.
Kaga: I WANT TO HEAR WHAT HE HAS TO SAY.
Tamal: YOU'RE MAKING MY JOB HARDER!
The young guard still holds the finger lock on the intruder. It doesn't look like a comfortable position for either of them.

I got to attend my family's craft camp once again this last weekend. This time it was in town for my husband and I so we were able to set up indigo dyeing! It was our first time setting up our own vat and a little intimidating, but it worked perfectly. Blue is a very satisfying color to dye so we're planning to keep the vat running for a while. I'm excited to design more fabrics!

Been itching to read a colorful new comic full of reanimated dead and cute kids? Look no farther than Stix & Bones, by Darrell Toland. I'm especially tickled by the character, Stix, who mutters proverbs to himself as he defends his territory. Darrell and I met through the Webcomics Study Group I mentioned last week. Meeting the dedicated and talented people behind all sorts of comics really pushes me to get better at story telling and drawing. Seeing Darrell's work makes me want to get better at textures.
