Lae skids down a steep slope to where Iyare and Kaga and sheltered beneath a rock. She holds up a dead rabbit in the rain. Lae: HERE'S DINNER. Iyare: WHAT WOULD WE DO WITHOUT YOU, LAE? SFX: SKKKK Tamal approaches the group from the other side, a giant jungle chicken under his arm. Tamal: WE'D BE FINE. <i>I</i> GOT US DINNER TONIGHT. Kaga: THAT'S HUGE! WELL DONE! Lae: IT'S <i>TOO</i> BIG. WE CAN'T EAT THAT MUCH. Kaga: HUH, I SUPPOSE WE CAN'T. Tamal tosses the chicken onto a rock, next to the rabbit. SFX: PLOP Tamal: I'M TIRED OF YOUR TINY RABBIT MEALS. Kaga: A CHANGE IN MENU WOULD BE NICE. Lae: WITH RABBIT, WE AREN'T KILLING MORE THAN WE <i>NEED!</i> SFX: GRRRRR Sparks fly as Lae and Tamal glare at each other over the meal. Kaga looks uneasy cornered between them. Kaga: OH MY.

I forgot to share the sketches I received at San Diego Comic Con with you last week. This is one of the best parts of purchasing comics from creators in person. Some of them are fast enough at doodles that they can add one to the inside cover and make your book unique and awesome. I still am much too slow at drawing my characters to manage this but hopefully by the time I am ready to table at a convention, I'll be fast enough!

      I love how Prince Kaga eggs them both on into a fight and then gets all scared, lol. He's a cute character so far, let's hope he can calm these tempers! XD

      While the bird is a bit big for them, I do think a small rabbit isn't much for four grown adults. Hopefully they'll be able to start finding a different animal to eat for dinner. Maybe they'll have to change to a vegetarian meal plan. XD
