Recently I've become friends with Trevor and Brad from Shyeah!, a webcomic about hijink-prone, alcohol-loving chums living in Portland. It's a real pleasure knowing that the talent behind such fun stories and jokes are local. I'm eager to read more of this young comic and hunt down more Portland based creators. I've done a poor job networking with local cartoonists despite Portland's reputation as a comic-friendly city. Part of it is my mellow introversion. But the Stumptown Comic Fest coming up this weekend so it's my big chance to get out of my hermitage and meet more local artists.

Bijan seems so cool, like he's been through this before. I don't know if I could keep calm like that! I'm looking forward to more exciting jungle scenes!
