Original script: Tamal and Iyare are defending Prince Kagagi. Four masked attackers dressed completely in black form a half circle around them centered on the short mound in the center of the clearing. Tamal holds a long knife and stubby branch. Iyare has a sword. Kaga has some fist-sized stones in his arms but he is on the verge of panicking. The skinniest attacker lunges forward with a halberd and Tamal blocks with the branch. The blade gets caught in the wood and Tamal pulls the weapon and his opponent towards his knife. But then a quick, second halberd attacker darts in and cuts the caught blade off. The first attacker staggers backwards, now holding only a pole. Tamal faces the second attacker. Tamal: I'M WARNING YOU, I'M ALWAYS IN A BAD MOOD.

This week's page begins a challenging action scene for me. I'm not very good at choreographing fights yet but trying it is only way for me to improve. Here's hoping I learn a lot from this!

Meanwhile, I colored the vote incentive in another style just for fun. When I taught English in Japan I illustrated picture books like this to use as teaching materials. My Deviant Art account still hosts two of them: Pecos Bill and The Fire Relay, I call them.

Tamal and Iyare look so cool! I think the fight scene came out really well so far. The trees in the background are such pretty colors, it's a shame they're fighting in such a peaceful looking place.
