Penciling and inking-wise this was a boring page but I redeemed it with the coloring. All the architecture in the previous scene was good practice for me but I'm definitely more comfortable winging backgrounds in the jungle. The brown trees in the fifth panel were a happy accident. Sometimes I pick a random color to draw in and this time I liked it enough to use instead of changing it to the green I originally intended.

January 1st, 2010

Happy new year! 2010 is year of the tiger so I made a little tiger sketch as a vote incentive. Sometimes it's easy for me to get caught up in all that I haven't accomplished yet. 2009 was supposed to be the year I proved myself as a professional comics creator. Didn't quite reach that point... But I did a lot that I'm proud of and I want to celebrate it. I made one of those nifty image quilts I'd seen popping up on blogs so I could bask in my accomplishments. Yay!

Now let's do this 2010 thing!
